through Sublimation, iodine and sand would be separated..
becaz, iodine is a sublime substance i.e, it is converted directly into vapours when it is heated without going into the liquid state..whereas sand is non-sublime.so, when the mixture is heated ..iodine will get vapoured and the sand will be left out in the beaker or in which the mixture is kept in.
