HELLO DEAR,

given that:-

f(x) = x³ - 2x² + ax - b,

g(x) = x²-2x-3,

r(x) = x - 6

x²-2x-3) x³ - 2x² + ax - b ( x
x - 2x² - 3x
(-) (+) (+)
——————————
0 + 0 + x(a+3) - b

Here given that ,

remainder = x - 6

x(a+3) - b = x-6

on comparing both side,

we get,

x(a+3) = x

=> a+3 =1

=> a=-2

and

b = 6

I HOPE ITS HELP YOU DEAR,
THANKS
