chromatography is use to separate a solid and a liquid mixture like ink it is a mixture of dye and water and colourful dyes
as a drop of ink is placed on paper then by adding some water in it.
then the more soluble liquid will be appear at the top and the least soluble liquid will be appear on bottom .
so the mixture is detected in column by the process of chromatography
