Methods of Preserving food
Aim: To study and try different methods of preserving food,
Materials: Food stuff (e.g. Chapatti), a closed box, pan.
Method:
(1) Divide a chapatti into three pieces.
(2) Put one piece in a box and close it. Label it as sample 'A'.
(3) Roast the second piece on a hot pan to make it crisp without charring it. Let it cool and put it in a
box. Label it as sample 'B'.
(4) If possible, put the third piece in a box and put it in the fridge. Label it as sample 'C'
(5) Observe the pieces every morning and evening for two-three days.
Record your conclusions.

Answer:

In sample A -The chapati got poisoned as it caused by some microbes called bread mould.

In sample B - This chapati is in contact of bacteria but this bacteria cannot be seen by our naked eyes and this chapati is not in full dangerous zone It may be eatable or nor etable.

In sample C - This chapati does not consists any type of bacteria or germ because it is kept in the refrigerator which is a not suitable condition for the growth of microbes
