Foreign genes can also be transfered directly by the following methods:,-
1. Electroporation:- It creates transients (temporary pores) in the plasma membrane to facilitate entry of foreign DNA.
2. Chemical mediated genetic transformation:- lt involves certain chemicals such as polyethylene glycol that is PEG, that help in the uptake of foreign DNA into host cells.
3. Microinjection:- In this method, introduction of foreign genes goes into animal cells with the use of micropIpetes.
4. Liposome mediatd gene transfer:- In this method DNA encloses within lipid begs. These lipid begs fused with protoplast.
