Explanation:

MgCl2 + NH4OH -----------> NH4Cl + Mg(OH)2

so Mg is considered as (A) ,Cl2 as (B), NH4 as (C) and OH as (D).

In double replacement reaction it goes like (AB)+(CD)= (AC)+(BD)

so here, Mg(A) goes and combines with OH(D) and NH4 goes and combines with Cl(B)

therefore,

MgCl2 + NH4OH -----------> NH4Cl + Mg(OH)2
