Answer:

 \huge{ \red{ \bold{Cerebellum}}}

The cerebellum is responsible for maintaining the balance of the body in association with the inner ear (vestibular apparatus)

The cerebellum is a part of the Hind - Brain . It consists of 2 parts :

  • Cerebellar Hemispheres
  • Vermis

The location of the cerebellum can be described as follows :

  • It is located behind the pond and Medulla Oblongata.
  • It forms the posterior wall of the 4th ventricle.

External Arcuate fibres passing through the spinal cord and Medulla Oblongata end into the Cerebellum and thereby provide information about balance in the body.

Damage to the cerebellum leads to staggered type of motion ( also described as the drunkard gait).
