SOLUTION

Michael finished colouring = 7/12

Vaibhav finished colouring = 3/4

To find who take longer time , we have to make their denominator same.

L.C.M of 12 and 4 is 12....

= (7/12) × (1/1) = 7/12

= (3/4) × (3/3) = 9/12

= (7/12) < (9/12)

Hence, (7/12) < (3/4)

So, Vaibhav worked for longer time.

$= \frac{9 - 7}{12}$

$= \frac{2}{12}$
