Answer:

24

Explanation:

Michelle wants to plant daisies to carnations in the ratio 4:2.

Let no of daisies be x

daisies /carnations = 4/2

daisies / total ratio = x/ total(42)

4/ (4+2) = x/42

4/6 = x/42

6x=4 x 42

X=168 /6

X=24

Hope it will help you

LET THE RATIO OF DASIES TO CARNATIONS BE X

SO THEIR SUM WILL BE

4x+2x=48

6x=48

therefore

x=48/6

x=8

therefore no. of daisies is 4x=32

and carnations is2*8=16
