Microorganisms like yeast are used in the prepartion of breads , Idli , dosa and in other items which adds volume to the items and make them spongy in nature . Yeast is also used in the large production of ethyl alcohol . Microorganisms also help in decomposition and in nitrogen fixation .Microorganisms also cause some deadly diseases. Some of the diseases caused by the miccroorganisms are Tuberculosis , Malaria , Typhoid , Dengue , Measles , Swine flu , Chicken pox and many other diseases. So we can say that , Microorganisms - our friends and foes.
