Explanation:

  • When the ovule is curved and the embryo sac becomes horse-shoe shaped, such ovule is called amphitropus.
  • The body of ovule is placed transversely at right angles to the funicle.
  • Micropyle and chalaza lie in a straight line.
  • There are around 6 types of ovules in angiosperms  which include hemi anatropous, orthotropous, anatropous ,campylotropous, amphitropous, circinotropous.
