hey friend
here is ur answer
Mid-day Sun can be seen overhead in Chennai twice a year, but not even once in Delhi because Chennai is midway between the Equator and Tropic of Cancer. The sun is exactly overhead at the equator at the equinox and then it starts moving gradually north towards the Tropic of Cancer passing through Chennai, it is exactly overhead at the tropic of Cancer on June 21st then it starts moving southwards towards Tropic of Capricorn crossing Chennai again in the same year and is exactly overhead the Tropic of Capricorn on September 22nd.
