By mid point formula,

x=x1+x2/2

5=2+x/2

5(2)=x+2

10=x+2

x=10-2

x=8.

I hope it will help u buddy.

Answer:

Hence, The required value of x = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

The two end points are given to be : (2, 3) and (x, 5)

Now, the midpoint of the given two points is given to be 5

⇒ The coordinates of the midpoint is (5, 0)

Now, we can find the value of x by using the midpoint formula :

x_3=\frac{x_1+x_2}{2}\\\\\text{where }x_1=2,x_2=x\text{ and }x_3=5

\implies 5 = \frac{2+x}{2}\\\\\implies 2\times 5 = x+2\\\\\implies 10=x+2\\\\\implies x=8

Hence, The required value of x = 8
