Migration is defined as movement of people from one place to another.

Internal migration is not an important determinant of population change because people migrate within the country which does not increase or decrease the population of a particular country.

On the other hand, INTERNATIONAL MIGRATION is an important determinant of population change because people migrate from one country to another which increases or decreases the population of the country respectively.

<b>Migration is the movement of people across regions and territories.

Migration can be internal or international.

If some people migrate from their own state to the other state, there is internal change and a difference between population of two states is distributed.
