Mike helped his grandparents clean the two fish tanks in the house. Tank A measuring 60 cm x 50 cm x 66 cm was 4/11 filled with water. Tank B having a base area of 900 cm2 was empty. Water from Tank A was poured into Tank B. What was the height of water in Tank B?

Answer:

Volume of tank A = l * b * h

                             = 60 * 50 * 66

                             = 198000 cm³

Water present in tank A = 4/11 * 198000

                                        = 72000 cm³

Volume of tank B = Water present in tank A

l * b * h = 72000

900 * h = 72000

h = 80 cm
