The buying price :

= 300 × 19 = Rs 5700

When 200 liters of water is added :

New amount = 300 + 200 = 500 litres

From this 400 is sold at 20 per litre.

The amount is :

400 × 20 = 8000

Rs 8000

Remaining :

500 - 400 = 100

She added 10 litres of water to this :

= 100 + 10 = 110

Total price = 110 × 15 = 1650

Selling price :

1650 + 8000 = 9650

Profit = Selling price - Buying price

Profit = 9650 - 5700 = 3950

= Rs 3950

in this case the cost of the milk man is 5700.

He sells 400 lts of the mixture of milk and water in a rate of rs 20/ lt.

So the profit here is (8000-5700) = 2300. again he adds 10 lts of milk.

So the total quantity becomes 110 lt. he sells it in rs 15/ lt. so it becomes rs 1650.

So his total profit is (2300 +1650)= 3950
