Number Mina Thought Is 4

Let us assume the number to be 'x'.

Framing a Linear Equation in one variable according to the condition given in the question:

=> 8(x - 5/2) = 3x

Solving the Linear Equation in one variable which we just framed:

=> 8x - 40/2 = 3x

=> 8x - 20 = 3x

Taking 8x to the other side of the equation we get:

=> - 20 = 3x - 8x

=> - 20 = - 5x

Taking 5 to the other side of the equation we get:

=> x = - 20  / - 5

=> x = 4

Therefore, the value we obtained for 'x' is 4.

Therefore, the number which Mina thought of us is 4 because we have assumed the number as 'x' and we have obtained the value of 'x' as 4.

Answer:

MINA THOUGHT OF A NUMBER:

LET ASSUME THAT NUMBER BE X.

NOW SHE SUBTRACTS 5/2 FROM IT AND MULTIPLIES RESULT TO IT. THE RESULT IS NOW OBTAINED IS 3 TIMES THE NUMBER SHE THOUGHT OF.

ATQ,

8(x -  \frac{5}{2} ) = 3x \\  \\  =  > 8x - 20 = 3x \\  \\  =  > 8x - 3x = 20 \\  \\  =  > 5x = 20 \\  \\  =  > x =  \frac{20}{5}  = 4

SO SHE THOUGHT OF NUMBER 4.
