"Mrs Loona Bimberton was a hunting lady. She gained fame and publicity by killing a tiger. Mrs Packletide is a jealous and greedy woman. Mrs Packletide could not tolerate the fame and publicity of Mrs Loona. So she decided to shoot a tiger and decided to get publicity like Loona. So she offers reward money to the villagers to bring a tiger to her. For the reward money the villagers found an old Tiger, which was unable to move.

Mrs Packletide with her companion Miss Mebbin, was ready to kill the old tiger with all the safety measures. Both the ladies sent a goat as a prey for the tiger. But the tiger did not move. On seeing the tiger, with over enthusiasm, Mrs Packletide shot the tiger. The two ladies went near the tiger, and then only they found that they killed the goat and not the tiger. The tiger is very old, on hearing the gun shot, due to heart attack it died. But among the villagers and Mrs Loona, Mrs Packletide said she only killed the tiger. She got more fame among the villagers and publicity in the newspapers.

But Miss Mebbin, a greedy lady blackmailed Mrs Packletide, that if she does not offer money to her to buy a cottage house she will tell all the truth to the villagers and Mrs. Loona and will collapse all her fame and publicity. Being afraid on her words, Mrs Packletide offered her a huge amount to buy the cottage house."
