minerals are very unevenly distributed as we can see on the map that some places are rich in coal while others in iron. All places have different minerals and different importance. example chattisgarh

India is a nation with abundant natural resources. The country has been enriched with lots of mineral and non- metallic ores. However, these ores are irregularly spread due to variations in geological formations and several physical means. Following are the reasons in support of this statement:

1. Peninsular rocks: this rock contains most of the coal reserves, metallic crystals mica and non-metallic crystals.

2. Sedimentary rocks: in this type of rock the deposits of petroleum are found such as eastern and western haunches of the peninsula in Gujarat and Assam.

3. The vast alluvial plains: these plains are found in North India and almost lack of ores.

These variations endure mainly due to diversity in the geological formation methods and time required in the production of minerals.
