see a microspore mother cell undergoes meiosis to give rise to a tetrad of pollen grains(microspores) and this occurs when 2 meiotic divisions ie. 1 and 2 are completed so for 4 pollen 2 meiotic divisions are required.
so by unitary method we get the answer as 31.

tell me if i am correct or wrong?
and comment if you want even more detailed explanation.
