 {x}^{2}  - 4x + 3 \\  =  {x}^{2}  - 1x - 3x + 3 \\  = x(x - 1) - 3(x - 1) \\  = (x - 1)(x - 3)

put both of them equal to zero

x - 1 = 0 \\ x = 1

x - 3 = 0 \\ x = 3

as you asked fir the minimum value so

x = 1
