Answer:
Miss Lucy’s Life – A Shadow
Why was Lucy not able to enjoy life the great city she lived in?
Although Miss Lucy was aware of the many interesting things one could do in a great city, yet she did not know how to do them. She had been brought up under strict discipline so she lived like a prisoner among people who enjoyed their lives in their way. She was imprisoned in a strict world that she had imposed on herself.
Who was George? How did Lucy miss him as the others? (This is a deleted part in some books)
George was Miss Lucy’s grandnephew, Agatha’s only grandson. He had lived in her house and studied at the university. He had been a quiet, studious young man, a true Quinn and a scholar, not much given to enjoyment of life. Miss Lucy had enjoyed his company during those three years but she lost him as he moved to England for higher studies. George, like other young men, occasionally wrote to her.
