Money cannot but anything and so, it cannot buy us friendship. Miss mebbin was a paid companion of mrs. Packeltide who wanted to kill a tiger and claim that she killed it on her own. She had many arrangements made to get a good angle for shooting the tiger. She also got a goat and planned that the goat would be a prey for the tiger and so when the tiger comes to eat the goat, she can shoot it. However, her plan did not work out as it was sketched. Instead the tiger died when the trigger was released and the bullet went at another angle. Mrs. Mebbin was more loyal, decent and faithful as compared to Mrs. Packeltide who was very sly, dishonest, envious, naive and competitive. Mrs. Mebbin kept up to her word.
