Mission Indradhanush is a mission related to health of people of India.  It is for immunization of children.

     It is lauched by the Government of India on Dec 25th 2014.   This is launched by Jagat Prakash Nadda, Health and Family Welfare Minister.  The children, who are not yet vaccinated or partially vaccinated against seven vaccine preventable diseases, are to be covered by the end of year 2020, ie. in 5 years.

The 7 diseases are diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, measles, and hepatitis B.

It was to mark the birth anniversaries of Bharat Ratna Sri Madan Mohan Malaviya nad Bharat Ratna Sri Atal Bihari Vajpeyee.

201 high focus districts in the country are identified for the first phase.

297 districts will be taken care of in the next phase.  The mission is supported by WHO, UNICEF,  Rotary international and other voluntary donor and service organizations.
