There are one too many. The biggest mis-use being - once a person is elected as MLA or MP, even though in theory s/he is answerable to people, in practise - the person can do what s/he wants for the next 5 years and the people can't interfere. 

The second one, and the even more baffling is the election system. The Election Commission conducts the elections in India by keeping it's faith on two things - 1. God, the almighty and 2. Jugaad.
Hanging by a prayer and a thread - in most of the places, the elections are not fair. Right from the making of the voting cards till following the code of conduct till the counting day - nothing is properly done.
