The parents should not be too lenient in terms of giving access to mobile phone and the internet to their children. Children below the age of 16 should not own mobile phones, laptops, or any such gadgets. The parents should be careful and keep a check on their children's activities so that they can keep track of them and prevent them from committing any misdeeds.
The only way to stop this issue is for parents to take charge of it. They should understand the impacts of misuse of mobile and internet and only then can they prevent it.
