mitesh want to buy a Trapezium shaped field. its side along the river is parallel to and twice the sum along the road. if area of the field is 10500 square meter and perpendicular distance between the two parallel side is 100 find the length of side along the river , find the length of the side along the river.​

Let the parallel sides of the field be 'x'm and '2x'm.

Therefore, a = x ; b =2x ; h = 100m

Area = 1/2 (a + b) × h

= 1/2 ( x + 2x) × 100

= 50 × 3x = 150xm².

Given that area = 10500m².

So,

Area => 150x = 10500

=> x = 10500/150 = 70.

Since, a = 70m and b = 2×70 = 140m.
