There are various mitigation measures taken by India government to protect and preserve natural vegetation and wildlife.
Government is committed to this principle and have taken various Steps to ensure that Intentions meets the intended results.
• Wetland (Conservation and Management) Rules, 2010 have been framed for protection of wetlands, in the States.
• Some of these are Convention of Biological Diversity, Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals etc.
• Promotion of Community programme Van-Mahotsav, promoting Agro forestry which is good for farmer too.
