mitochondria and chloroplast have membrane yet they are not the part of endomembrane system. Why?​

Although not technically within the cell, the plasma membrane is included in the endomembrane system because, as you will see, it interacts with the other endomembranous organelles. The endomembrane system does not include the membranes of either mitochondria or chloroplasts.

As you know that mitochondria and chloroplast have double layer membrane also they are present only in eukaryotes . So as they are found inside the membranous cell they are termed as ENDOMEMBRANE SYSTEM.
