Mitotic cell division can be a mode of reproduction. True or false with reasons

no it can't be be a mode of reproduction because in mitotic cell division chromosome no remain same even after the division but in meiosis cell division chromosome no reduce to half so as to retain same no of chromosome during zygote formation

coz....

unicellular organisms such as Amoeba and Bacteria just divide to produce two similar independent cells by mitosis ...
