Apical meristem is a tissue found in plants which undergo continuous division to form plant parts. Apical cambium is found in shoot of plants that is at top of plant so called apical and it is primary meristem. Lateral cambium help in increasing girth of tree by dividing cells cylindrically, so it is secondary meristem. Meristem meaning meristos- divided( derived from greek word).Cambium helps in formation of new tissues when tissues get permanent.
