ht. of old box = 40cm
ht. of new box = 50 cm
breadth of old box = 30cm
breadth of new box = (to be calculated)
length of old box = 20cm
length of old box = length of new box. (given)

since this box is like a cuboid
so,volume of cuboid = l×b×h
= 24000cm(cube)

according to condition

volume of old box = volume of new box
24000 = L×B×H
24000 = 20 × 50 × B
24000/1000 = B
24 = B

hence Breadth ( width ) of new box
= 24 cm
