Answer:

The amount that has to be increases is 36L in both the places to make it in ratio 1:2

Step-by-step explanation:

Capacity: 60L

Ratio:- 2:13

common Ratio be X:- 2x,3x

2X+13X = 60

15X = 60

X = 60/15

X = 4

Thus the amount of mixture

= 2X = 2*4 = 8

= 13X = 13*4 = 52

Increase in the ratio to make it 1:2 =

= (8 + X)/(52 + X) = 1/2

CROSS MULTIPLICATION

2(8 +X) = 1(52 +X)

16 + 2X = 52 + X

2X-X = 52 - 16

X = 36

Amount to be increase on both the side is 32 L.

EARLIER RATIOS

8/52

LATER RATIOS FOR MAKING 1/2 RATIO

= (8+36)/(52+36)

= 44/88

= 1/2
