Mixtures need to be separated because (d) all of the above

  • Separation of mixtures is very necessary as it help to remove out the impurities and undesirable substances. For example , the drinking water that comes from water bodies like rivers is necessary to be free of germs and other impurities. Hence, option a is correct.
  • Some desirable and pure substances present in a mixture are very important to extract as they might help in various domestic and industrial processes. Few process involve magnetic separation, filtration etc. Hence, both option (b) and (c) are also correct along with (a)
