Given that, Miya takes 10 min from her house to reach school on a bicycle.

{ Time i.e. t is 10 min or 600 sec }

Also given that, the speed of the bicycle is 2 m/s.

{ Speed i.e. s is 2 m/s }

We have to find the distance between her house and the school.

We know that,

Distance = Speed × Time

Substitute the known values

→ d = 2 × 600

→ d = 1200 m

To convert m into km. Divide it by 1000.

→ d = 1200/1000 km

→ d = 1.2 km

Therefore, the distance between the Miya the house and the school is 1.2 km.

→ Speed of an object or body is defined as the distance the body or object that moves per second.

Speed = Distance/Time

It's S.I. unit is m/s, km/s

→ The shortest path travelled by an object is known Distance.

Distance = Speed × Time

It's S.I. unit is km, m and cm.

→ Time: What a clock reads.

Time = Distance/Speed

It's S.I. unit is sec and hour.
