Given:

she subtract 8/5 from it

i.e. x-8/5

and multiply result by 10

new number =10(x-8/5)

10\left(x-\frac{8}{5}\right)=6 x

10 x-10 \times \frac{8}{5}=6 x

10x-16=6x

10x-6x=16

4x=16

x=16/4

x=4

Hence the miya number thought is 4

Answer:

to find : original number

let the number thinks be ' x' , then according to question we have

(x - \frac{8}{5} ) \times 10 = 6x

new number = (x-\frac{8}{5} )\times 10   = 6x

10x - 16 =6x

4x = 16

x = \frac{16}{4}

x = 4

hence the number she thought was 4.

Hence the miya number thought is 4

hence the number she thought was 40.
