It was an enriching session for the students where they learned about the various hazards of pollution. Pollution has greatly affected the health of our citizens. Each child was given the responsibility of a plant and was told to nurture it. The students also organised an awareness march. Many students came up with models on how to clean the rising levels of pollution. The students had a wonderful time attending the symposium. Our Principal Ms Anjali Aggarwal thanked the students and teachers for their enthusiastic participation.

A science symposium was organized on 1 December 2021 in MMD School, Nashik, on the topic ‘Effect of Pollution on Quality of Life’. All the science

students of classes XI and XII were a part of this informative an enriching program.

The event commenced with the felicitation of the guest speakers Dr. Hari Om Gupta and Dr. K.K. Arora by the School principal. Thereafter, the participants were welcomed by the school Head boy, Rahul Singh. He acquainted them with the aim and objectives of the workshop. Then Dr. Hari Om Gupta shared his profound knowledge on the topic and highlighted the ill effects of pollution and the need to curb this menace. An effective demonstration of the effects of pollution on our lives stimulated the engrossed participants.

After the lunch break Dr. K.K. Arora, highlighted the possible steps that can be undertaken at individual level to reduce pollution. It was followed by another brainstorming session on ways to reduce pollution which triggered the young minds into thinking as well as suggesting innovative ways for a pollution free environment.

This interactive session ignited the inquisitiveness of the young participants. The speakers also urged all participants to commit themselves to bring about a positive change and do their bit to usher in a better tomorrow. The enlightening workshop culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by the headof the science department, Ms. Malti Handa
