Object should be placed in between focus and centre of curvature.

Ray diagram is in attachment.

Let,

AB be Object

C be center of curvature

Now,

  • Ray of light AD is parallel to axis which gets reflected at point D and then pases through f focus.
  • Second ray of light AE passing from centre of curvature C falls normally on mirror surface at point E and return along with same path.

We have two reflected ray DF and EC which are converging in the downwards direction. They actually intersect at point A' .

A' is the real image of point A of object. To get the complete image we draw A'B' Perpendicular to axis from point A'. Thus, A'B' is real image of the object AB.

Image is downwards. Therefore, image is inverted. The size of image is larger than the object. So, Image is enlarged.

Hence,

When the object is placed between focus and centre of curvature then, image will be inverted, real , enlarged and image will form beyond the centre of curvature.
