Correct Question :

Mean and Mode of a given data is 12 and 15 respectively. Find the Median.

Solution :

We know the Formula that,

\sf{Mode = 3 \: Median \:  - 2 \:  Mean}

Put the values.

Let the Median be m.

\sf{15 =  3m \:  - 2(12)}

 \sf{ 15 = 3m - 24}

 \sf{3m = 39}

 \boxed{ \bf \red{m = 13}}

Hence, Median Of Given Data = 13.

\rm\boxed\checkmark Correct Question :-

  • Mean and Mode of given data = 12 and 15. Find the Median.

\rm\boxed\checkmark Solution :-

We know that,

\implies\sf{Mode = 3 \: Median - 2 \: Mean}

Values,

Median = m.

\implies\sf{15 = 3m - 2(12)} \\  \\  \implies\sf{15 = 3m - 24} \\  \\ \sf{Now, \: Plus \: the \: 15 \: and \: 24} \\  \\ \implies\sf{15 + 24 = 39} \\  \\ \implies{\textsf{\textbf{3m \:  = 39}}} \\ \\ \sf{Now, \: divide \: 39 \: by \: 3} \\ \\ \implies\sf{13} \\ \\ \implies{\underline{\boxed{\textsf{\textbf{\blue{m = 13}}}}}}

So,

  • Median = 39.
