Phycomyctes reproduce by Gametangial Copulation and Gametangial Contact
> Gametangial contact is more common in conjugation fungi where two fungi develop a conjugation tube bw them and one transfers its entire contents ; for eg - Rhizopus
This will lead to the formation of a zygospore which is why they are called Zygomycetes
> Gametangial copulation is more common in algael fungi or oomycetes, which leads to the formation of an oospore . Eg: Albugo Canida
The latter is more common in aquatic forms
