Answer:
1. The physical exploration of the Moon began when Luna 2, a space probe launched by the Soviet Union, made an impact on the surface of the Moon on September 14, 1959. Prior to that the only available means of exploration had been observation from Earth. The invention of the optical telescope brought about the first leap in the quality of lunar observations. Galileo Galilei is generally credited as the first person to use a telescope for astronomical purposes; having made his own telescope in 1609, the mountains and craters on the lunar surface were among his first observations using it.
NASA's Apollo program was the only program to successfully land humans on the Moon, which it did six times. The first landing took place in 1969, when two Apollo 11 astronauts placed scientific instruments and returned lunar samples to Earth.
2. The shape and size of the earth is an oblate spheroid, that is narrow at the poles and bulges to the equator and due to the uneven distribution of mass of the earth. Thus the earth is a representation of geoid and is not perfectly round and neither it's perfectly flat.
A sphere can be referred to as an approximation of the figure of the earth so that the coordinates system can be developed to navigation, land use, and surveying. The radius from the surface to the center of the earth is about 6,371 km and earth deviates from the sphere only by 3%.
4.The rich soil cover together with favorable climate and copious water supply made Kerala and the northern plains agriculturally very productive. Due to this factor, the population density is also the highest in these regions amongst all other regions of India.
Hope it helped you.
