Given :-

A positive number is 5 times another number. If 21 is added to both the numbers, then one of the new numbers becomes twice the other new number.

To Find :-

Numbers

Solution :-

Let the positive number be a

5 times the positive number = 5a

21 added to both number

2(a + 21) = 5a + 21

2a + 42 = 5a + 21

2a - 5a = 21 - 42

-3a = -21

a = -21/-3

a = 21/3

a = 7

Therefore

Numbers are

a = 7

5a = 5(7) = 35
