Explanation:

Given:

Radius (r

1

) of hemisphere =4.2 cm

Radius (r

2

) of cylinder =6 cm

Height (h) = ?

The object fromed by recasting the hemisphere will be same in volume.

So, Volume of sphere = Volume of cylinder

Therefore, the height of cylinder so formed will be 2.74 cm.

Explanation:

Given that

Radius of sphere =4.2cm

and Radius of cylinder=6cm

so when one object recast into another object their volume will remain same.

therefore,

volume of sphere=volume of cylinder

4/3πr³=πR²h

4/3×r³=R²h {π will cancel out }

4/3×4.2×4.2×4.2=6×6×h

4/3×0.7×0.7×4.2=h

h=8.232/3

h=2.74

Hence the height of cylinder is 2.74
