Enforcement of Constitution:

• The Constitution of India came into force on 26th January, 1950.

• This process is known as "Enforcement of Constitution".

26th November, 1949:

• On this day, the draft Constitution prepared by drafting committee was approved/enacted by the Constituent Assembly.

26th January, 1950:

• From this day onwards, the Constitution of India came into existence.

• Every year 26th January is celebrated as "Republic day".

Some features of Indian Constitution:

• India is a sovereign, socialist, secular, democratic and republic country.
