Modern atomic theory states that the atom is a diffuse cloud surrounding a small, dense nucleus. Identify which particle is in the nucleus.

Hey there!

The nucleus of any atom always contains protons which are positively charged and neutrons which are neutral.

The electrons revolving around the nucleus are negatively charged and thus an atom is electrically neutral.
