Modern farming methods require more input which are manufacturing in industry, do you agree?

Not really.

Explanation:

In orthodox methods, lots of labor and time was required to farm and perform agriculture. You have to realize that manpower too counts as input because you(assuming you are the landowner and have workers) have to pay them wages (and also ensure their wages are increased on a regular basis to keep them happy of course:)..). Modern techniques however are more mechanized and are more productive. Yeah, its true that its expensive and you have to cash out a lot but think its just a one-off payment. After that, you just have to maintain it which wont cost nearly as much as paying workers their wages. So, if you consider all inputs in terms of their value, modern techniques turn out to be cheaper(in the long run).

For Example :

  • HYV seeds, insecticides, pesticides and chemical fertilisers needed for increasing the yield per hectare are all manufactured industries

  • Farmers use farm machinery like tractors, threshers and also combined harvesters which are also manufactured in industries.

  • Tubewell equipment and water pumps used for irrigation are also manufactured in industries.
