Answer:

Following are the modern methods of farming :-

Sprinkler system : This is a system of irrigation which is similar to rain. Many pipes are connected to the main pipe line. Water is allowed to flow freely from the rotating nozzles of the pipes like rain.

Drip irrigation : This system of irrigation is very useful in areas where there is scarcity of water. Water is allowed to drip slowly directly to the roots of the plants. Water is not wasted at all.

The modern methods of irrigation are :-

• Sprinkler system :- This system is more useful on uneven land , where sufficient water is not available and for sandy soil.
• Drip system :-  It is a system in which water falls drop by drop just at the position of the roots.
