Modern farming is farming done by using hybrid seeds, fertilizers etc to increase crop production.Today,farmers grow more than one crop on a piece of land during the same year is called mixed cropping. With the improvement of irrigation facilities, farmers are able to grow two main crops that is Kharif (rice,millets,maize etc.) and Rabi crops ( wheat,barley etc.).Rotational farming is also being done to make use of soil nutrients. High Yielding Variety (HYV) of seeds more fertilizers, pesticides, improved irrigation techniques and also time saving Heavy Duty Machines like Threshers, tractors, Harvesters are being used scientifically in modern farming methods.
