Technology brings prosperity but at the same time has some undesirable side effects. One of the ill effects is brought about by the world's obsession with tech toys.

Electronic waste which is also known as e-waste is created when people discard the electronic products which are nearing their end of life, like cell phones, computers, TV sets and other electronic goods. This kind of waste is considered harmful to the environment on varying levels. It contains toxins like lead, mercury and lithium. When these goods are thrown away these toxins get released into the environment and cause damage to the earth.
