The Ugly Duckling
It was a lovely sunny morning. A duck at a Farm sat on her nest watching her young brood hatching. One shell cracked and then another. One egg has not hatched yet said mother duck. I think I will sit on it a little while longer. At last the large egg broke and the young one stepped out. The mother duck was surprised to see such a huge duckling. It was a big and ugly one Unlike the rest of the ducklings.
Gradually all of them begin to play and swim together. The Ugly duckling saw that it was different from the rest and so it left the ducks and went to live with the hen and her chickens. But the chickens threw the duckling out of the group. Sad,the duckling went to live with other animals but could not find any animal family willing to keep him.
Time past and the duckling had now grown up.One day It looked at its reflection in a nearby Pond and was stunned. It had become very beautiful.
In reality the duckling had not been hatched from a duck's egg. It was the young one of a Swan. That is why it was big and ugly initially. Now that it new its real self ,it flew away and join the group of swans flying in the sky.
